- Liquidity check: does this driver/product format sell consistently, or only during headlines?
- Comps sanity: match the exact version (set/parallel/numbered/auto).
- Landed cost: shipping can flip a “deal” into an overpay.
- Buy-now vs wait: if the listing is strong and near comps, waiting often wins.
- Play type: quick flip requires tight entry; long-term holds require strong product desirability.
Where the edge shows up
- Weak listings: wrong category, missing driver name, poor photos.
- Bundles: a numbered/auto card buried in a lot.
- Timing mistakes: auctions ending when few buyers are watching.
